what kind of world do you want? the 20 goals of vision-2020
As we approach what will be a contentious year for our republic with the election of 2020 taking place in an unholy spirit of divisiveness and discord, let’s together consider another path for our nation to follow. Let us tap into the genuine spirit of America. Let us be inspired to create a new world, the world the Founding Fathers hoped for us in 1776 in their grand experiment exploring the ideas of the Age of Enlightenment. Imagine the luminous legacy the American people can give future members of the human family. We can present to them a gift of hope for humanity. We have a choice now here at the crossroads of history. Let us get off the highway to our self-annihilation. Let us instead follow a better course. Let us now together journey along a road leading to a much better world for all people than the one we have now:

  • A world where we protect and enhance the traditions of democracy in America and elsewhere.
  • A world where popular sovereignty is practiced by all people throughout our planet.
  • A world where all national economies are stable to achieve prosperity and the abundance of material blessings for all.
  • A world where we encourage the entrepreneurship of small and medium-sized businesses in a spirit of creative capitalism.
  • A world where we intelligently wean global industrial civilization off its fossil fuel dependence and achieve the technological innovations to create millions of well-paying jobs through an expanding industry of clean, environmentally-sustainable energy sources.
  • A world where everyone serves as a good steward in caring for the environment and taking responsibility for the ecological health of our biosphere.
  • A world we use our intelligence and imagination to find effective ways to reverse global warming to reduce the impact of climate change on civilization by the end of this century.
  • A world where all people build connections with each other in activities that celebrate our humanity through arts and entertainment.
  • A world where we transform education for young people through learning technologies and techniques that are cost-efficient, personally enriching and fun.
  • A world where we make available effective tools to learn knowledge and skills for all people regardless of age, income, gender, race, or other factors.
  • A world where we protect and enhance the rights of the free press for the defense and enhancement of all our other rights under democratic governance.
  • A world where all people have the right to freedom of thought and intellectual openness.
  • A world where all individuals, regardless of gender, race, or creed, have diverse opportunities to grow as a true leader to serve the common good.
  • A world where women and men are treated fairly and equally in their jobs and careers, positions of authority, and elsewhere.
  • A world where all people have an opportunity to enjoy physical and mental health.
  • A world where humanity brings a permanent peace for all nations by forever ending through a unity of humankind wars, terrorism and other violent conflict.
  • A world where for the first time in history all people on our planet are united in a new and true age of enlightenment where we strive to end homelessness, hunger and physical and psychological abuse.
  • A world where all people regardless of origin or ethnicity are treated with kindness,  compassion, and empathy.
  • A world where all nations are united in the mutual pursuit of scientific knowledge for the benefit of humankind.
  • A world where all nations are united in the human exploration of space and the eventual colonization of potentially inhabitable worlds in our solar system.

These twenty goals for a Vision-2020 new world are attainable if we choose this path. The barriers are not technological but human. Once we conquer our fears, doubts, and hatreds, we can start to join together to achieve these goals in the American spirit of enterprise. From the colonists fighting for their independence to the astronauts walking on the moon, the lesson we must learn from our nation’s history is that when we as a people are inspired by visionary leadership to pursue a purpose of grand human endeavor, we always succeed in achieving what pessimists have called “the impossible.”

There is nothing in the laws of science that prevents us from achieving Vision-2020. It’s only our human nature to resist change that builds a wall between us and success. Homo sapiens are, however, a flexible species. When enough of us – a critical mass of about 100 million people — understand how our existence is threatened by our own actions, and how we can raise our quality of life for all people on the planet, then we will start to take action to make Vision-2020 a reality.

What kind of world do you want?

Global civilization and our human existence now depend on people in all nations who care about the fate of our world enough to join together and take real action. If you wish to join the team of Heroes for Humanity and help make Vision-2020 a reality for you and your children, please join us on the journey. Let’s make history and take a giant step for humankind in our greatest adventure yet. The future starts now. What are you waiting for?

what kind of world do you want? at the crossroads of history
We stand now at the crossroads of history. America faces a crisis that puts at risk the values that many generations of our nation’s citizens have fought and even died for. In our current course of human events, we wait for leaders who will offer us an inspiring vision for the future of our country and for the fate of humanity. We Americans must manage a situation much like what the Founding Fathers confronted in Philadelphia during the summer of 1776. In the document we celebrate with parades, pageantry and patriotism every Fourth of July, they described the kind of world they wished to give to posterity as their legacy. The 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence expressed their vision for a world where “all men are created equal,” a place where people are endowed with certain unalienable rights, among them “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” At the end of that revolutionary document, they placed a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence and pledged a sacrifice of their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor in the improbable undertaking to free themselves and fellow Americans from British tyranny
what kind of a world do you want? two paths to choose from
That may very well be the question the Founding Fathers would ask of us here and now 243 years after their courageous stand for liberty. The crisis of confidence in democracy that the world faces in our present day will no doubt create a new and dysfunctional world. If the cancer of doubt in democracy continues to control, it will very well bring an end to our civilization and even our species. The clock to our potential but not inevitable extinction keeps ticking. We have yet to take a stand and make a choice for the continued existence of our human family. Will we take the path to our ultimate demise as our global industrial civilization collapses from the neglect of our environment and decline of our political, economic, cultural and social institutions? Or will we make a better world for ourselves and our posterity. Will we as a humanity not only survive but thrive?
what kind of a world do you want? a new opportunity
Take a moment now to reflect on the power of that question. Ask yourself what kind of world you wish for your offspring to live in. And consider what you might be willing to sacrifice to make that world a reality. We find ourselves now in an America filled with rising political and cultural conflict as the polarization of our people generates social strife and tensions. There is, however, hope. It’s time we find ways to go beyond our superficial differences and join together as Americans to defend our long-held values and traditions. We must stop fighting and start uniting around the core of our common humanity.

The human mind is capable of astonishing achievements. America truly becomes great when we only choose to join together and use the collective genius of our intellect and imagination. We have before us now a window of opportunity to transform ourselves as a nation and lead all the other nations to reap a harvest of social, political, economic and cultural benefits far beyond what our Founding Fathers might have imagined in 1776.

what kind of a world do you want? an exceptional genius
“Where there is no vision, the people perish,” goes the biblical proverb. We now dwell in an age of isolation, a time where we lack a true and vibrant vision. Elected officials fail to provide the people an inspiring destination and roadmap for the human journey. Fifty years ago, we celebrated an achievement that brought all people on our planet together as two astronauts stepped out of their lunar landing module and took a giant leap for humankind. Apollo 11’s improbable journey across the cold vacuum of space to Earth’s sister world and the astronauts’ return safely home demonstrated that we as Americans have an exceptional genius for doing what the pessimists say is impossible. We are a people who can make a vision a reality. We do it when we join together in a spirit of enterprise and optimism with an initiative to make the world a better place for all.

Are all of Vision-2020 goals really achievable?
Some people might say that achieving the 20 goals listed in Vision-2020 is an impossible dream. The fact is that all are 100 percent achievable. Nothing in the laws of science – physics, chemistry or biology — prevents them from being realized. As of July 4, 2019, they have a 1 percent probability of being achieved. However, if enough people on our planet actively support Vision-2020 – about 100 million – by July 4, 2020, we believe the chances of making Vision-2020 a reality will reach at least a 90 percent probability.

They will also improve our education resources to improve our schools and give students a greater opportunity for a good life.
